Embark on an unforgettable 8-day Ndutu Migration Safari through Tanzania’s famous Northern Safari Circuit. This journey takes you to four world-renowned national parks, offering remarkable wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes. Explore Tarangire National Park, home to giant elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, before continuing to the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. The highlight of the safari is Lake Ndutu, where the Great Wildebeest Migration gathers between December and April, with February offering the incredible calving season. Visit the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, rich in wildlife. Conclude your adventure at Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its vibrant birdlife, lush forests, and rare tree-climbing lions.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

This is the itinerary for 08 Days Ndutu migration safari.

Day 1

DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport by a Tanzania Expert Guides representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha, where you will spend the night relaxing and preparing for the exciting safari adventures that await you.

Day 2

DAY 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

In the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes you along a smooth tarmac road through the beautiful Maasai plains, where you will see scattered acacia trees and experience the traditional lifestyle of the Maasai people dressed in their colorful attire, walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and using donkey carts.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. From the comfort of our modern safari vehicle, guided by our experienced Tanzania expert guides, you will explore the park’s seasonal swamps, open savannah, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Keep your eyes open for incredible wildlife encounters, including zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and many other species. With some luck, you may spot lions searching for prey or leopards resting among the trees.

After an exciting game drive filled with unforgettable moments, we will depart the park and continue to your carefully selected accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

DAY 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will continue your journey through the fertile highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat and maize. As you travel towards the Serengeti, you will pass through the misty forests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a beautiful ecosystem filled with diverse wildlife. Keep your eyes open for possible sightings of baboons, elephants, and even elusive leopards hiding within the dense vegetation. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater before proceeding to Serengeti National Park, arriving around midday. Tanzania expert guides will lead you through this remarkable landscape, known for its endless plains, rivers, lakes, savannah, and rich wildlife. After an exciting afternoon game drive, you will continue to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

DAY 4: Serengeti National Park

This entire day is dedicated to exciting game drives across the Central Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Guided by our Tanzania expert guides, you will explore the endless plains, home to an incredible variety of wildlife including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos. The Serengeti is world-famous for the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Beyond the migrating herds, you may have the chance to witness powerful predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they follow nature’s circle of life. After a rewarding day of exploration, we return to our comfortable tented lodge for a delicious dinner, relaxation, and unforgettable moments beneath the breathtaking African star-filled sky of the Endless Plains.

Day 5

DAY 5: South Serengeti (Ndutu)

After breakfast we will head to the Lake Ndutu region, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, a sublime landscape of the southern Serengeti eco-system. The drive takes approximately 3 hrs. Lake Ndutu is frequented by a wide array of wildlife and the majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. After our afternoon game drive, we head to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

DAY 6: South Serengeti (Ndutu)

After breakfast, we set out for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region, guided by our experienced Tanzania expert guides. Explore the diverse landscapes of Ndutu, including seasonal swamps, woodland areas, soda lakes, and the world-famous Serengeti short grass plains. This area offers exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities, especially during the Great Wildebeest Migration and calving season. In the late afternoon, we return to the camp to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the beauty of Tanzania’s wilderness.

Day 7

DAY 7: Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will head out for an en-route game drive through the Ndutu Area before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO world heritage site offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. You will descend into the Crater and see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and bird species. After lunch and a full afternoon inside the Crater, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8

DAY 8: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. On our exploration we will see monkey, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. After lunch, we head back to Arusha where we will arrive in the late afternoon.
